Itinerary

Day tour to Kizhi from Petrozavodsk in summer (by boat)

  • Included meals: No
09:00 (or at another time) - Pick-up at hotel or railway station in Petrozavodsk by our English-speaking representative. We need your train information to be sure that there is enough time for this trip.
Transfer to the harbour.
Board the hydrofoil.
Departure for the island of Kizhi (usually at 10:15). Travel time is 90 minutes one way.
Arrive at Kizhi Island.
Walking tour of the grounds of the open-air museum of wooden architecture of Kizhi with local English-speaking guide. See historical chapels, houses and churches, including the multi-domed Transfiguration Church built in 1714.
Leave back for Petrozavodsk.
Return to Petrozavodsk (usually at 17:15).
Standard package does not include any services upon your return to Petrozavodsk. We can arrange a return transfer to the hotel or railway station as an option.
