Introduction

The terms detailed below form the basis of an agreement between you and Nordic Travel.

Nordic Travel offers a variety of products through its website, including:

1. A Package. Tour that lasts more than 24 hours or include overnight accommodation;

2. A Day Tour. An excursion or another activity that lasts less than 24 hours and exclude overnight accommodation;

3. A Stand-alone Service. A service that is booked separately, such as accommodation, attraction ticket, transfer, etc.

Terms of payment and cancellation may differ depending on the product type.

Nordic Travel does its best to provide accurate and up-to-date information on this website, but errors may occur. Please confirm pricing and details prior to making a booking.

Booking

You can book on our website or by e-mail.

Deposit

We may need a deposit from you to secure your booking. The amount of deposit varies according to the product type but in the most of the cases, it is 15%.

If you are booking a Package less than 21 days before departure, we may require full payment at the time of booking.

If you are booking a Day Tour less than 7 days before departure, we may require full payment at the time of booking.

If you are booking a Stand-alone Service, we may require full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellation by you

You may cancel your booking at any time before departure. Notice of cancellation must be in writing.

1. Package

Notice period / Cancellation charge

  • 30 days or more. Receive a refund minus any non-refundable fees submitted and/or required by our Suppliers (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits, etc.);

  • 8-29 days. Receive a refund minus 30% of total booking value, and any non-refundable Supplier fees;

  • 4-7 days. Receive a refund minus 50% of total booking value, and any non-refundable Supplier fees;

  • 3 days or less - 100% of total booking value.

2. Day Tour or a Stand-alone Service

Notice period / Cancellation charge

  • 4 days or more. Receive a refund minus any non-refundable fees submitted and/or required by our Suppliers (e.g. museum tickets, boat tickets, etc.);

  • 3 days or less - 100% of total booking value.

COVID-19

If you have to cancel as a result of Covid-19 the above charges will not apply, subject to receipt of a medical note or other official proof of restriction of movement due to Covid-19.

Cancellation by us

Some group tours require a minimum number of participants and we reserve the right to cancel your booking if there are insufficient bookings. We will provide you with a full refund. Note that in either situation we cannot reimburse any incidental expenses you may have incurred (for example, train fares and flights).

Changes by us

We do our utmost to ensure that all the arrangements and visits are as described. However, it is in the nature of travel that changes are sometimes inevitable. In the event that a particular visit is not possible, we will aim to replace it with another of equal interest. If it is not possible, we will provide you with a choice of a refund, credit note or an alternative itinerary.

It happens that bad weather or other unforeseen conditions make it impossible to visit the planned location or participate in the planned activity. In such an event, we will suggest an alternative visit/activity or refund an amount equal to the value of the missed visit/activity. For example, if a tour to Kizhi Island is cancelled, we will refund the cost of the boat trip and museum tickets.

Force Majeure

While Nordic Travel makes every effort to provide on-time service, Nordic Travel is not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, pandemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel, road conditions, mechanical problems, or other similar incidents beyond its control.

We are not liable for any inconvenience or expense caused as a result of such acts.

Accident or Loss

We have no liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employees negligence, in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost.

We do not own or manage the train, ships, vehicles, accommodation and restaurants used and we have no liability for loss or damage caused by the proprietors or operators thereof.
