On 26 May 2021, a new law, which eases restrictions on tourists coming to Russia, was signed and published. When it comes into force on 25 August, foreign nationals may receive a 6-month tourist visa if they have a tourist confirmation from a tour operator or a hotel booking confirmation from a hotel in Russia.
