Day 1. Train from Moscow to the northern city of Petrozavodsk

  • Included meals: No

Arrive at Leningradsky train station in Moscow on your own or with our assistance if needed.
20:30 – Board a comfortable sleeper train (tickets included).
21:05 – Departure from Moscow for Petrozavodsk.
Overnight at train.

Day 2. Huskies, snowmobiles and a culinary master class

  • Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

07:50 – Arrival in the city of Petrozavodsk. Breakfast.
Transfer to the husky kennel. Meet sled dogs and learn how to manage the dog team and set off on a dog sledding adventure through the snow-covered landscapes.
Continue with the snowmobiling experience. The instructor will teach you the basic and you will try to drive a snowmobile or ride as a passenger.
Lunch. Hotel check-in for one night.
In the afternoon, transfer to the forest hotel for a culinary master class, which includes grilling planked salmon/trout in the festival Finnish way or baking traditional regional pastry. Dinner with the self-cooked meal.
Overnight at a 4* hotel.

Day 3. Hovercraft ride and Kizhi open-air museum tour

  • Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Board a hovercraft, a specially designed vehicle to travel on ice. A hovercraft journey over the Lake Onego will take you to the island of Kizhi, a UNESCO’s World Heritage site where unique monuments of the traditional Russian wooden architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries are preserved.
Walking tour of Kizhi Museum.
Return to Petrozavodsk and lunch. Transfer to the train station.
Take a comfortable sleeper train from Petrozavodsk to Murmansk.
Overnight at train.

Day 4. Discover Murmansk. Hunt for the Northern Lights

12:05 – Arrival in Murmansk.
During the city tour of Murmansk the local guide will tell you about the history of this remote town and you will see the “Alyosha” war memorial, the Savior on Waters Church, the Kursk submarine memorial and Murmansk port.
Hotel check-in for 2 nights.
Evening – hunt for the northern lights. Following the up-to-date information about the cloud cover, we will drive to the place with fewer clouds where the chances to see Aurora Borealis are the highest.
Overnight at a 4* hotel.

Day 5. Saami people & reindeers

  • Included meals: Breakfast, Tea break

Tour to the Saami village. The program includes transfers with a guide, meeting with Saami (or Sami, Lapp) – ingenious peoples of the Arctic, story about their culture, seeing their traditional lodges, Saami games, feeding reindeers, reindeer sleigh ride and a meal: local soup and tea.
Return to Murmansk.
Free evening and overnight. On the second night in Murmansk the Aurora trip is optional (discounted price may apply).

Day 6. Fly from Murmansk

  • Included meals: Breakfast

Transfer to the airport in time for your flight.

1. Accommodation in DBL/TWIN rooms at 4* hotels: 1 night in Petrozavodsk, 2 nights in Murmansk.
2. Accommodation in the sleeper trains: 1 night from Moscow to Petrozavodsk and 1 night from Petrozavodsk to Murmansk. 2nd class tickets are included with a possibility to upgrade to the 1st class/deluxe.
