Itinerary

Day 1. Moscow & Welcome

Welcome to Moscow! Upon arrival at the airport (after immigration procedures), you will be greeted by your local English-speaking guide in the arrivals hall. Enjoy a comfortable private transfer to your hotel. Along the way, your guide will provide a welcome briefing, offering an overview of your tour, practical information, and answering any initial questions you may have. Assistance with hotel check-in will also be provided.

Optional: Evening Moskva River Cruise

If your flight schedule permits and you wish to experience Moscow's skyline from the water, a scenic evening boat cruise along the Moskva River can be arranged. Advanced reservation and an additional fee are required.

Day 2. Historic Moscow: Red Square, Kremlin, Metro & Arbat

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a full day exploration of Moscow's most iconic landmarks, combining walking and utilizing the famous Moscow Metro.

  • The Moscow Kremlin: Begin your historical journey inside the walls of this ancient fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the official residence of the Russian President. Explore the Cathedral Square, home to magnificent churches like the Assumption Cathedral. See the legendary Tsar Bell and Tsar Cannon, marvels of Russian craftsmanship.*
  • Red Square & Iconic Landmarks: Step outside the Kremlin walls and enter the heart of Moscow, Red Square. Admire the stunning St. Basil’s Cathedral with its colorful onion domes, the imposing State Historical Museum, the elegant facade of the GUM department store, and the solemn Lenin Mausoleum (exterior view).
  • Zaryadye Park: Explore the innovative Zaryadye Park, located adjacent to Red Square. Walk along the Floating Bridge for unique and modern perspectives of the Moskva River and the Kremlin, offering a striking contrast to the historic sites you've just visited.

Visit 5-6 of the most beautifully decorated stations, each a unique work of art showcasing various architectural styles from Stalinist Neoclassical to Art Deco, often referred to as "underground palaces."
  • Old Arbat Street: Conclude your day with a stroll along Old Arbat, one of Moscow's oldest and most charming pedestrian streets. Soak in the lively atmosphere, observe the historic buildings, enjoy street performers, and browse for souvenirs, antiques, and local crafts.

Day 3. Panoramic Moscow: Views, Modernity & Local Life

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a panoramic tour showcasing different facets of the Russian capital, utilizing private transportation.

  • Sparrow Hills (Vorobyovy Gory): Visit this popular viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic vistas of Moscow's skyline. See the grand Stalinist architecture of the Moscow State University Main Building and enjoy sweeping views of the historic center and the modern Moscow-City district from the observation platform. (Optional activities like the cable car or zipline are available at your own expense and time permitting).
  • Moscow-City Modern District: Explore this futuristic cluster of skyscrapers, symbolizing Moscow's modern development. (Optional: Enhance your experience by visiting the observation decks at Panorama360 in the 'Federation East' Tower or the rooftop viewpoint in the “Eye” Tower for an additional fee and time permitting).

  • Cathedral of Christ the Saviour: Visit the impressive Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the largest Orthodox temple in Russia. Admire its grand scale, vibrant mosaics, and intricate wall paintings inside. (Optional: Ascend to the observation deck for a different perspective of the Kremlin at an additional fee and time permitting).
