Itinerary
Day 1. Cathedrals of St. Petersburg
The meeting point is at the Alexander Column in the center of the Palace Square.
First, we will visit the Church of the Saviour on Blood, also known as the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ. The Church is a memorial cathedral dedicated to the Russian Emperor Alexander II. He was fatally wounded on this spot in a terrorist attack in 1881.  The multi-domed Church was built in the late Russian style. The interior is decorated with beautiful mosaics.
We continue along Griboedov Canal towards the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, one of the most impressive landmarks of Nevsky Prospect. This cathedral was constructed in 1811. This is an active church and we will carefully visit it without disturbing those who are praying inside.
Finally, we will visit the huge St. Isaac Cathedral. Built in 1858, it is one of the biggest dome churches in Europe.
Finish in St. Isaac Square.
