Itinerary
Murmansk City Tour
Our English-speaking guide will pick you up at your accommodation.
Drive to the "Five Corners" Square in the very center of the city. You will get to know about the foundation of Murmansk in 1916 and Revolution 1917 impact. Walk round the Square and learn Interesting facts about surrounding buildings.
Continue to “Alyosha” Memorial (Memorial to the Defenders of the Murmansk Region during WWII). The memorial is located on the top of a hill where air-defense artillery was located. During the walk, the guide will tell about war period and people of that harsh time.
Drive to the Savior on Waters Church. The guide will inform about the early history of the Orthodox Church in the Kola Peninsula, Saami and Pomor people. Stop by the memorial devoted to Kursk submarine accident in 2000.
Сontinue with a visit of “Lenin” Icebreaker*. Onboard the ship there is a museum devoted to the history of the icebreaker and the history of Arctic investigation.
After the tour, we will take you back to your accommodation.

*Please, take into account that the Icebreaker does not work on Monday and Tuesday. Instead, we will visit the Museum of Regional Studies (on Mon and Tue) or the Museum of the Northern Fleet (on Mon).
